This Guide will show how activate your Extension for the Advanced UC Softphone Mobile App.
The Mobile App is available for both Android via Play Store and iPhone iOS via iTunes App Store.
Please note that the Mobile App for Android, iPhone and Tablets does rely on WiFi and Mobile Data (LTE/5G/4G) strength that may cause Audio Quality and connectivity problems.
It also relies on the Updates for the Smartphone and the Mobile App. Please keep them up-to-date.
If you require support, please provide:
Exact Time and Date of the Call.
Number that called or number dialed.
Exact behaviour. Example: I answered the call on Bluetooth and the call dropped after 1 minute.
NOTE: If you are migrating from old UC Softphone (UCSP) to Advanced UC Softphone (AUCSP), please scroll to the bottom.
Installing Advanced UC Softphone Mobile App
Access the Portal with the credentials set during the setup (on-boarding) process.
Go to: https://portal.nvgvoip.ca
Login with your Username and Password from the Welcome e-mail (On-boarding).
The username should in the format of: extension@company.nvgvoip.ca
Go to Phones Tab then click on Activate Advanced Softphone.
Click on the Activate Advanced Softphone on the right side.
A pop-up screen will appear stating: Activating.
Please do not close this screen until it completes the activation.
After it completes, you will see a screen stating:
Within the screen you will see a QR code and credentials for manual setup.
It will also contain links to download the App on Play Store for Android and Apple Store for iOS devices.
An e-mail will be also sent out where you can click on the respective App stores through your mobile device.

If you receive an Error message: Unable to activate or not activated, please reach us via e-mail support@nvgcom.ca so we can assist you further.
The e-mail will come from no-reply@iplogin.ca and will look like this:
Open the Mobile App on your Phone and click the QR code scanner next to Domain with icon

Uninstalling (removing) Advanced UC Softphone
To remove the Advanced UC Softphone, uninstall the App on your Mobile device.
Go to the Portal as indicated in previous step - Installing Mobile App and click on:
Migrating from UC Softphone Mobile App to Advanced UC Softphone
Remove the UC Softphone Mobile App you previously used - uninstall completely.
Send us an e-mail to support@nvgcom.ca and we will assist you setting up the new Advanced UC Softphone Mobile App.
We will remove the previous association with the old UC Softphone and activate the new one for you.
An e-mail will be sent out to you the same way as Installing Advanved UC Softphone Mobile App.
You can install the new Mobile App via the respective App stores above before sending an e-mail, or wait until you receive activation e-mail.
Once you are successfully logged in, please let us know.
Manually Authenticating to Advanced UC Softphone
If for some reason you cannot scan the QR code, you can login manually.
Enter the information from the setup e-mail.
Domain: company.nvgvoip.ca
Username: EXTap
Password: will be provided in the e-mail.
Then click on LOGIN button.
