Web Phone Guide

This is a Guide on how to utilize Web Phone via NVG Portal.
It will open a pop-up so please make sure you allow it.
Please make sure your Microphone is turned on and verified as functioning.
It will ask to allow Microphone in your Web Browser.
Recommended Web Browsers: Google Chrome, Firefox, Microsoft Edge, Brave, Vivaldi and Safari.
It will work on many other Browsers, but if any support is needed, please replicate it via Google Chrome first.

This will allow you to Make and Receive calls on any Operating System – Windows, MacOS or Linux.




Accessing Web Phone



To access the Web Phone, login to the Portal with your Username and Password created during the setup process.
Click on Apps on the upper right corner beside your name.
Click on Web Phone.
Please note, some Web Browsers might ask you to permit pop-ups, so go on ahead and approve.




Making Calls


To make a call press the Orange icon with Plus (+) sign then click on the number pad.
Enter the number in the number field then press the Green Dial button.

Receiving Calls



When a call comes in you will see the following in your Web Phone.
To accept a call click the 
Green button.
To reject the call, letting it go into your Voicemail Inbox, click on the 
Red button.






Call Control



Once you are on a call you can Mute (Microphone), put on Hold (Pause), initiate Conference Call (+ Add Call) or transfer the call.
If you are calling institutions with IVR (Auto Attendant), such as Banks or Mobile Carriers, to enter an Option click on the Dial Pad.
To end the call simply press the Red Hangup button.
To transfer, after clicking the Transfer button you can choose either Contacts or Dial a new number.
You may choose Coworkers to transfer within the Company.








Voicemail


To access Voicemail Inbox you will see the number of new Voicemails on the Voicemail Tab (tape).
To play the Message click on the on the desired Voicemail Message and press Play button.
Using the Options you may return the Call (handset).
You can also Save the Message (Floppy Disk).
You can also Forward the Message to another Inbox or Delete the Message.

Call History


You may view your Call History with all the received, missed or placed calls.
Clicking on one of them you can obtain additional options.





Chat and SMS




SMS is additional Service Feature. If you require to utilize it, please reach out to our Support.
To send a Chat to anyone within Company simply press the Orange circle with + sign in it then choose the Pen.
Search and Select the contact then press the Check-mark sign on the upper right side.















You can type e message on the bottom of the Web Phone.
You can also add an attachment (paperclip) to it or use the Emojis (face icon).


You may also use the Chat screen within the Portal.
If the far end recipient has a Web Cam, you could initiate a Video Call as well as choose other options.
