YouTube Keyboard Shortcuts - Navigating Videos

In this Guide we will show some YouTube Keyboard Shortcuts you can use while watching our Tutorials.
Each Video has Chapters. Click on Show More in the Video description to see Timestamps.




To pause (resume) a Video: Space bar or letter K.
To move 10 seconds back or forward: letter J for back and letter L for forward.
To move 5 seconds back or forward: left arrow for back and right arrow for forward.
To move through frames: Pause the Video first. Use , (comma) for back or . (dot/period) for forward.
To adjust Volume: up arrow ↑ to increase volume and down arrow ↓ to reduce volume.
To mute the Video: letter M.
To jump through Chapters: CTRL + left arrow (for previous Chapter; CTRL + right arrow → for next Chapter. Press CTRL key and arrows, do not press +.
To activate Full Screen: letter F; to deactivate letter F or ESC (Escape) key.
To activate Theatre Mode: letter T; to deactivate letter T or ESC (Escape) key.
To activate Mini-player: letter I (i); to deactivate letter I (i) or ESC (Escape) key.

If you require visual text rather than Audio: letter C to toggle on/off CC (Closed Captions). Language is English.
